Presence of emotions helps humans to go beyond boundaries and strive for certain things which is not easily achievable. Passion is one of the outcome of emotions.
There are various dimensions of emotional personality, which tries to influence us in almost every day and every moment of our lives. Pleasure, pain, desire and hatred are outcome of this layer.

Emotional personality is the second layer of Circle of NEW YOU represented by the orange colour in seven concentric layers. This layer drives human passions. It comprises the attributes like desire, hatred, pleasure and pain.
Some philosophers try to link emotions into four types - negative emotional layer, neutral emotional layer, activation or life pulse emotional layer and positive emotional layer.
As this layer is the superimposition of contrasting human behaviours, right amplitude and control of each emotion builds the human personality. For example, liberation of negative emotions liberates us and transforms life towards a better self. The secret to serenity and secret to freedom passes through the corridors of emotional layer.
Some of the modern societies try to impart wisdom among children while developing their emotional attributes. Empathy is one such building blocks which manifests and transforms a child to man while developing their emotional quotient. Usually, we assume that empathy leads to morally correct behaviour but does not always translate to a positive outcome.
The society and institutions which lacks the right dose of emotions within their fellow beings, finds itself in the midst of emotional meltdown. People, as they grow up - become restless, volatile and try to subjugate others in slightest opportunity, resulting in social unrest. A chaotic society cannot build a promising future, if focus on emotional layer hasn’t been given its’ due importance.
One can choose to be happy irrespective of material abundance in life. The Belief system plays a key role in emotional wellbeing.
According to Swami Vivekanand, those who manage to control their emotional personality effectively, rise quite high in their life. As per him, happiness is the state of ‘mind’, whereas satisfaction is the absence of ‘want’.
